Delhi has a large number monuments and has lots of places of tourist interest. An attempt has been made here to list these monuments and places of public interest area wise for facilities of general public and those who come to Delhi for a limited time and are looking for particular places in the city. Monuments in Delhi Golf Course.

Bara Khamba:This monument derived its name from 12 massive stone columns topped by domes above. The central dome was the higher than the three other domes. Under the central dome lies an unknown grave. The construction of the domes suggest the structure to be of Tughlaq period.

Early Mughal Tomb: This beautiful tomb is located on the side of the western wall of the Gold Course.

Sayiid Abid's Tomb: This tomb is said to have been constructed by a general of Mughal emperor Jehangir for his companion Sayiid Abid.

Tomb of Bagichi: This lies along the wall next to Archbishop Makarios Marg. This is of early Mughal period.

Lal Bangla:

Mir Taqi Tomb: This structure, badly damaged is said to be tomb of Mir Taqi. Not much details are available as to who Mir Taqi was.

Late Mughal mosque:

Bade Khan ka Gumbad or Tomb of Bade Khan, Kotla Mubarakpur near South Extension Part I, New Delhi.

This tomb of Lodhi period is situated at Kotla Mubarakpur near South Extension Part I of New Delhi.

This monument is called Bade Khan ka Gumbad but could be distorted form of Wadde Khan ka Gumbad. The identity of Bade Khan or Wadde Khan is not known.

This monument has five tombs of unknown persons  and consists of a domed chamber which is built of rubble masonry. The walls of the tomb have recessed arches and terminate at angles with semi-octagonal pilasters. Some of the salient features of this monument are domed octagonal chhatris at corners of roof, sixteen sided battlemented drum with a decorative minaret at each angle.

The chowkidar Manoj Kumar employed by ASI was extremely helpful in showing the monument. He willingly opened the monuments under his care and showed us around to mosque and tomb of Mubarak Shah, which is quite inaccessible being in a congested and unclean environment.

Kale Khan Tomb, South Extension, New Delhi.

Kale Khan Tomb, or Kale Khan ka Gumbad as it is locally known, is located at Kotla Mubarak Pur in South Extension. An inscription on the western Mihrab makes its construction date at 1481 CE during the reign of Bahlul Lodhi.This was likely to be tomb of Mubarak Khan, possibly father of Darya Khan Lohani.
