Delhi has good statues all around but one of the best statues representing the Father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, the national movement and the spirit of the times is Gyarah Murti at T-point of Sardar Patel Marg and Mother Teresa Crescent in New Delhi.

The massive glistening black sculpture by the artist Devi Prasad Roy Chowdhury shows Mahatma Gandhi leading the Dandi March during the Civil Disobedience Movement and ten persons following. While Mahatma Gandhi is a picture of resistance and determination, the ten followers which include women and persons of different faiths show different moods beautifully captured in stone by the sculptor.
